look what I found! this is an amazing baby boutique in bethesda, md. daisy baby carries the cutest baby clothing, hard to find baby gifts, nursery furnitures, bedding and anything that you need for your precious newborn as well as your glorious new body. everything is so cute~~~ (you know how much I LOVE to shop!)If you are expecting, and especially if you already booked a session with me and want to look picture perfect, this is the best place to be! Dana and Andrea there will be your best friends in no time. They are awesome! and I have to add that there are tons of beautiful baby furniture too. snow in march
we had a day-off due to snow last week and 80 degree summer weather the following weekend. finally, we are back in indian winter (like indian summer..)! not sure if there is a right word for this confusion in winter weather. anyways, these gorgeous images were taken two days after the snow break. the sun was warm but the snow was still all around, it was nice and not-so-wet… it was a perfect day for snow shots like these. I had many sessions the last couple of weeks~ which led to endless editing this week. thought i would share every once in a while here to get a nice break! LOL

what birthday celebration!
I used to shoot lots of babies’ first birthday celebrations. For many asian cultures, it is one of the biggest family events. It is usually done in a half traditional way and half modern way. This lucky Mr. handsome had the most amazing birthday table. All these beautiful ornaments and dishes were made personally by his mother which is a very traditional way to bless the child. Not only food, but, special clothing, hats, and belts, and all other arrangements have their own meanings of blessing. It was such a special moment, and Im glad I got to capture the details of the celebration and I wanted to share some shots with you all!

as happy as can be
again, all the snow made my boys and I crawling back to the winter cave for a couple of days. we went sledding, skiing, made frosty the snowman…had so much fun but i really really hope that was the end of it! so looking forward to the spring breeze and fresh scent of new buds, flowers, etc. just cannot wait to greet the new world again.despite all that winter crawling, this is how i see the children. as happy as can be… ok. i’ll take it back. there is no complaining as long as i get to have all the joy with her. no matter how freezing it is for how long, the happiness comes from within.
this is why i love what i do. when i see how simple/innocent/happy her smile is, it is 100% worth enduring the frosty wind.
to update my working schedule with you all, it has been incredibly busy - which was not expected in these cold months. i am almost booked solid until the end of may. and my family and i will be off for the month of june. will be back the first week of july and off to the summer house for a week or so. just thinking and planning the summer makes me smile. cannot wait! i know, real happiness comes from within.~
